General Counsel  in a global company within the offshore wind industry

To support our continuous growth in the renewables industry and our listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange we are looking for a General Counsel to support Cadeler A/S (formerly Swire Blue Ocean A/S).

Cadeler A/S is a global company within the offshore wind industry. As a General Counsel in Cadeler A/S you will be responsible for corporate governance, compliance with Danish company law and Norwegian securities legislation.

Cadeler A/S is currently undergoing a transition from its status as a marine service provider operating on time charters, emerging as a mature contractor capable of delivering more complex offshore wind construction projects. As the wind industry is rapidly growing and the complexity of projects increasing, Cadeler A/S is facing an exciting phase of development with a strategy to take on more complex scopes within the development of offshore wind farms.

The position is based in our office in Copenhagen, Denmark and offers a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate interested in pursuing a career in an exciting growing company in the offshore wind industry.


General Counsel 

We are looking for a thorough and structured General Counsel with excellent interpersonal skills and a self-starting mentality. You will play an important role in the newly listed company with direct reference to the CEO.

As our new General Counsel your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations, e.g. Listing Rules, Securities & Futures Ordinance, and Companies Ordinance, observing corporate governance principles
  • Preparing and issuing of announcements and circulars in relation to corporation transactions, results announcements, and financial reports pursuant to listing rules requirements
  • Filing of statutory documents and returns with relevant authorities, applying for business registration certificates
  • Maintaining the company’s records and registers, both statutory and non-statutory
  • Convening and servicing board/committee meetings and general meetings, preparing and distributing meeting packs and board papers, writing minutes, attending to follow-up work after meetings
  • Acting as the authorized representative of the company pursuant to the Listing Rules requirement
  • Liaising with authority, e.g., Stock Exchange, and external advisers
  • Acting as the link between the company and the Share Registrar, arranging payment of dividends and distribution of corporate documents, e.g., the annual and interim reports
  • Formation and winding up of companies
  • Administering the company share schemes


The position is a great opportunity for a professional interested in joining a growing and leading offshore wind marine installation contractor. The candidate should enjoy working in an informal, but the fast-paced and dynamic environment, and be willing to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and priorities.

Successful Candidate

As a General Counsel, you will have an independent role in acting as the authorized representative of the company and should be experienced and comfortable in this role.

Your qualifications for this role should include most of the following:

  • Experience working as a General Counsel in a public listed company
  • Relevant legal and or professional qualifications Master of Science (MSc) in Business Administration, Commercial Law and/or, Legal Secretary
  • Experience with Norwegian Security rules would be beneficial
  • Meticulous attention to detail, structured and well organized, with good time management
  • A diplomatic approach in coordinating with other internal departments as well as external partners
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
  • Competency in standard Microsoft IT Packages
